Hi ImportingTV, Many foreign countries use a different video format standard to broadcast and display video. There are three major video format standards used around the world. For U.S it's NTSC format. Depending on the power requirements of the country, you may need a transformer to make the television work since US models will require its 120 V AC, 60 Hz. Regards, David
