“Does the space measure 2.8"H between the bottom of the stand and the top of the TV stand? I was curious if a sound bar can fit in that space or if the sound bar had to be placed in front of the TV stand?”

If you are planning to place a soundbar within the open space under the screen and between the legs, it is approximately 2-3/4" High by 41" Wide. If you place it in front of the TV, the soundbar can be up to 3-3/8" High. It will cover part of the bezel, but not block the screen.

The distance between the bottom of the stand and the bottom of the TV measures 2.76 inches (2 7/8 inches) (70.2 mm). We recommend placing the soundbar in front of the TV stand. You also have the option to wall mount the TV using the Sony SU-WL855 Wall-Mount Bracket as an alternative. Hope this helps, -Ralph
