Two areas of concern no matter what TV you are considering as there is nothing special needed in the TV. 1/length of all cables to ensure they have freedom to move with the lifting/descending action with no binding or interference. The least bad thing that can happen is a cable pulling out of a connection. The worst is probably breaking circuit boards in the TV. Halfway would be breaking connectors. You have to make certain all cables are free every time because just one oops ever can make for a really bad day. 2/all enclosures reduce wireless signals and probably block IR from remotes. Some enclosures can block pretty much everything. If you are counting on anything wireless/remote you might run into issues requiring re-pairing devices, this can be worse if your set turns on before fully out of the cabinet as automatic re-connection might fail before the set is far enough out to receive signals. Physical wiring can be a drag to install but overcomes a lot of connectivity issues. For IR signals from remotes there are IR repeater devices available that can be mounted outside the cabinet to pick up the remote and wired inside the cabinet to repeat the signal to the TV. These are the same devices used when there are other obstructions in front of the IR receiver that is usually near the bottom of the TV, obstructions such as knick-knacks or a cat in a warm spot. You could even go so far as to stick a WiFi/bluetooth repeater, access point, etc inside the cabinet to boost signal. Your specific cabinet and setup has a big impact on what you may need to do to get reliable operation. Experimentation is likely needed to see how far you have to go, or find a really skilled installer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Months ago the Geek Squad mounted this TV. They have been out 7 times. It has no sound now. They attempted to attach it to my old surround sound equipment. It worked when they had a wire from the TV to the other equipment, but not with new remote attachment. I do not care if there is a wire showing. All I want is a functional TV. Megan says that it will probably work if the old equipment is removed and the wire is re-connected. Please send someone to do this. Thank you
