No. That would require a firmware update that may not be possible.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.900h It's technically a lower model than the 950H, however the 900H has a newer generation chipset which allows it to get HDMI 2.1 after a firmware update to enable it. The 950H just doesn't have the chipset to support HDMI 2.1. I went with the 950H because of the X1 ultimate processor, which the 900H doesn't have. I'm sorry there is no way 4K at 120fps is going to be the standard for console gaming (outside of the backwards compatible games from last generation), 4K at 60fps is. If you must have 120 at 4K I would just wait till next year to buy TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As of right now there is no word of it it literally just came out 2 days ago or I think it was October 19th 2020 for the 900H model which is one below this but the reason I decided to go with this TV is for the much better X1 ultimate processor and I have contacted Sony through their website and through the reviews and many times asked why would you put the 2.1 in the EARC which everybody uses for a soundbar even if on the 950h series which is supposed to be an upgrade so you should get everything the 900h has plus more I asked them to add the update which is literally just a firmware update for a 2.1 on HDMI 2 and HDMI 4 or just HDMI 4 and I would be Great. But I guess we'll need other people to start protesting for the $9.58 to get the 2.1 firmware update so everybody hit up Sony.com and ask why is the 950H more money yet not getting the upgrade we want the 2.1 upgrade same as the $900H also I was a little upset as I own a 4K Google Chromecast but I cannot use that on the TV and I was shocked that a $1,200 TV that's a 4K TV does not come with a 4K Chromecast also just released was the newest Google Chromecast with not Android TV which are TV has but Google TV and it's a much better setup much cleaner it just looks a lot better and comes with a remote where the voice mic but you cannot override the built-in 1080 Chromecast so you either have to use a fire stick or Roku if you want to change the interface. but I highly recommend if you want that 2.1 update to come to the 950H get as many people as possible to write to Sony because we're doing them a favor by beta testing this 2.1 now nobody knows how it's going to work with the PlayStation 5 and might I add that Sony makes the PlayStation they should want as many devices to have the 2.1 as possible to get as much feedback as possible to fix bugs on the PS5 and the connections as quick as possible So all I'm saying is enjoy your TV it's got a great picture but contact Sony like I did and when you purchase your TV and they ask for your feedback mention the fact that the lesser 900h got the 2.1 update why would you not put that in the 950H model which is supposed to be an upgrade. as soon as I found out the $900 had the processor from 2018 I just really didn't want it and then my wife and I stood in Best buy and looked at TVs side by side they actually had them set up and you could see the colors were way more muted on the 900 versus the 950 so we waited and yes I could have got a 65-in 900H for $950 instead of a 55-in 950h for $1,200. But I have a LG OLED c8 currently and I sold my LG c7 to get a 2020 TV. And after going through all the options the $950 hit most of the check marks I didn't want to have to worry about burn in , and I got the picture on the 950H as close to oled's as possible . The blacks are great the whites are extremely vivid The contrast is amazing but I still would like the TV to be a little more future-proof That's why I went for the more expensive processor the X1 ultimate , and definitely think all the 950H owners should contact Sony and ask when are we getting the 2.1 HDMI update? Why put it on an inferior 900 model that has a processor from 2018 then the latest model which you can get better beta testing and feedback from the users on the 950H versus from the 900H model as those colors are muted and the TV is nowhere near as a nice
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Technically yes, but.. this tv will not do a variable refresh rate like the PS5 can do, so unless you are playing a game the PS5 can push at 120hz the whole time it won’t be a good experience. They say the 900h does have the full 2.2 standard and a variable refresh rate, so I might look into that tv.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.100%. PS5 is said to be compatible with 8K
