This was a concern of mine as well due to the size of my TV stand which is 46". The TV can be adjusted to 32" not 31". The stands can be installed in two different positions. Fully to the outside edges of the TV at 48 1/2" and toward the inside of the TV at 31 3/4". Hope this helps!

I flipped my legs inboard and just measured them to be 31 3/4" wide. I made wood spacers for my TV legs to raise it above the sound bar and also made wood blocks that mount over top of the legs to make it more secure and painted them black. My old Sony had a massive & impressive center stand with a hole in it to screw in place. My old Sony also had an illuminated remote and the new Sony does not.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The feet for the stand can be installed facing inward, but it's not going to take the footprint down to 31 inches. I know I've seen that measurement elsewhere on the internet, but my guess is it would bring it down to about 40 inches.
