Make sure the TV is set to have the 5 channel output (settings), but I found the same problem with mine and it was the setting for my surround sound system (not the TV). Took me a while to find the right settings but I got it to work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I no longer have this unit (see my review) or I'd leave step-by-step instructions. There's 99% of the time, inside settings, under the "audio" area to change the D*lbyDigital output from/to PCM or Bit-Stream. It's THAT setting that is causing your not seeing DD coming through your A/V unit. Change it to the "other" setting it's currently at, and you'll see it'll do what you need it to do for 5.1-DD output/decoding. (If I'm not mistaken, it needs to be PCM versus bit-stream. - But your AV unit may prefer it the other way around. - You didn't mention what type of A/V unit you have.) Hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is likely a setting on your Surround Sound Receiver however, check the Audio settings on your Sony as well and make sure the output is set accordingly.
