You don't have to hit wall studs, use four screws with wall anchors and that will be plenty of support. Go to hardware store and get screws and anchors. One screw and anchor can hold 50lbs so for is overkill and will be stable enough. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The "Wall Mount" unit that I purchased is merely a VERY LONG bar with holes in different locations for just your situation. Its placed horizontally on the wall, and then on the TV itself there's a mere TWO hook looking things that simply let you 'hook' the TV to that bar. (There IS another bit of hardware that goes on the lower part of the TV should you want/need to have it maintained at a different angle than simply flat on the wall.) I would send you a/the link, but if I'm not mistaken MANY of these sites that asks for your inputs or to answer questions prohibit using specific MFR names and or include hyper-links to the place where you can purchase one of these - HOWEVER, Best Buy itself has a handful of wall-mounts and this one is MOST likely the identical one that mounted my TV with. It's BB's Model #: NS-TVMFP23 and Best Buys' SKU is: 5148005 (60 bucks, but SHOP for 'em - you MAY find it on sale or for less.) Hope that sheds a little light on your question.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Locate where you would like to mount it find the closest studs to the mount. Use two 2" long lag bolts in the stud and two large toggle bolts in the drywall for the other two 'non stud' holes. Use a level to assure level mounting before final tightening. It will look beautiful. Good luck and happy watching.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I installed one side of the bracket with lag bolts into a stud the other half when into drywall with standard anchors. Holding fine. Was originally concerned by only being able to secure just one half into a stud. The lag bolts are strong enough to hold the set and the two drywall anchors, rated at 75 lbs, provide additional stability.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Forget the studs and use drywall anchors/bolts (assuming you have drywall). Plenty strong enough to hold this set and it is not as heavy as Plasmas of old. Very sturdy mount.
