• I actually placed mine behind the TV hidden and mine still sounds great. But if you have limited space on your TV Stand it will get in the way.

• Would be difficult and it would block the remote sensor which is right in the bottom center of the TV. Depends how tall the sound bar is, but it may be an issue.

• No. The Sony sound bars are taller than the bottom of the TV when it's on the stand. You will have to place it in front, which is annoying because it is tall enough to partially block the IR receiver on the TV, or mount it on the wall or another level.
