Hello Bill, Thank you for your interest in Sony products! We appreciate your inquiry and are happy to assist. The Sony K65S30 TV features an optical audio output, allowing you to connect external audio devices such as soundbars or home theater systems via an optical cable. Supported audio formats for this output include two-channel linear PCM at 48kHz, 16-bit, and Dolby Audio. For detailed information on TV terminals, please refer to: https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/lusltn2/v1/en-003/01_10.html Please note that not all Sony TVs have an active optical audio output by default. Starting with the 2024–2025 Sony BRAVIA lineup—including the BRAVIA 7, 8, and 9 series—the optical output may be disabled in the system settings to prioritize HDMI eARC functionality. To enable the optical output, navigate to: Settings → Display & Sound → Audio Output → Optical Digital Audio Output Settings, and toggle it to Enable. To confirm whether a specific Sony TV model includes an optical audio output, please consult the product specifications on Sony’s official website or review the user manual for that model here: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support Best regards, -Fred
