So, the short answer is no, you absolutely don't need a soundbar for a good viewing experience. It sounds great right out of the box! However, if you're an audio enthusiast or you're setting up a dedicated home cinema and really want that extra layer of richness, deep bass and truly immersive surround sound, adding a dedicated Sony soundbar would definitely take your audio to the next level.
