If you are referring to the rubber edges around the screen when you unboxed the TV, those were to protect the screen during shipping. They are to be removed when the TV is in place.

However, the limited warranty of the TV does not cover any kind of accidental or physical damage. The Limited Warranty covers only the hardware components packaged with the product. It does not cover separate accessories, technical assistance for hardware and software usage and it does not cover any software products whether or not contained in the product. The rubber around the screen is for the protection of the TV edges. This is not a TV malfunction. The TV will still functional even with the rubber around the TV screen is peeled off. In this case, we recommend following the proper procedure of cleaning the TV screen. https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/televisions-projectors-oled-tvs-android-/xr-65a90j/articles/00167099 I hope this helps.
