“I went and saw this TV in the store. I don’t see how the stand width is adjustable. I looked at the back of the TV and I didn’t see any possibility for adjustment. I’m looking for the total width without a sound bar.”

I’m assuming you’ve bought the tv and know this by now, but the adjustment is done by switching the sides of the mounts. The flat stand setup is the default. To get to soundbar position, you remove the right stand and put it on the left and vice versa.
