The standard base that came with our TV is 57 inches. I would allow a little more for space beyond it. I would not buy a table under 60" wide. The standard base will sit directly on the table; so, there is no room under the TV to sit a soundbar. We bought another stand from Best Buy that mounts on a post that elevates the TV. If you don't do that, make sure your table is at least 24 inches high and I would recommend it be 26 high. The optional stand allows you to raise the TV higher, but it is not quite as sturdy. Its base is about 25 1/2 inches which is just about the width of our Roku soundbar. The original base is fairly heavy which is a good thing for stability.
