Yes. But the only problem that I have found is that the tv remote does not work to control the soundbar, you will have to use the remote that came with the soundbar.

Yes, I have a 6 year old Samsung soundbar hooked to TV with optical cable. Samsung wireless woofer and rear speakers connected seamlessly, worked great.
