“I do not and will not ever get a google account. Will this google smart tv platform require one to first get a google account before one can use the smart platform? I want a tv that allows me to browse internet without google.”

Hi BAS, thank you for your question. You have an option to skip the Google sign-in during the initial setup. Certain functions such as the Google voice search function, Chromecast™ built-in (Google Cast), internet browsing, and the YouTube™ app, are available without logging in to a Google account. However, you will not be able to rent or buy movies, TV shows, and apps from the Google Play™ Store. Hope this helps. ~Earl

I agree with your desire for privacy, but big brother watches just about everything we do. They will get the information one way or another. Maybe this throws off the data collected from us as individuals, but 2-part verification seems to link everything together.
