That is correct. You would need to have a preamp output for the center channel so the volume works correctly, but yes this would work. It does a decent job for dialog as long as you cross it over high enough in my opinion. However for me it wasn’t acceptable when playing music. Was hoping I could eliminate my big, ugly center channel. Unfortunately it wasn’t good enough for me. Maybe it wil work for your application!
