Hi Piper, Good question! The X95J has an LED display that is not susceptible to burn-in or image retention. Hope this helps. -Sam
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. After having my X95J for 1 year and 2 months, I can absolutely guarantee you that this TV is subject to burn in / uniformity issues / "dirty screen effect" - BAD. We don't watch static images, it's a home television. There is bad banding/striping across it, and big blobs of "dark" in the center. Especially noticeable when solid colors backgrounds pop up. Too bad I didn't pat attention to the warranty just being up 2 months ago, as it was present then, too.

Unless you constantly leave the tv on the same channel esp news channels with the ticker on the bottom. Or extremely heavy use of your tv as a monitor. For any normal user, burn in will not be an issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The short answer, yes. As a former electronics technician, I have observed burn in on every type of display, from CRT to LED and OLED panels. Stationary patterns on a screen whether dark or bright are the culprits. That being said, some types of displays will take far longer than others for burn in to occur. LED panels will take longer to burn in than OLED.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it is not. This is an LED TV only OLED TVs are subject to burn in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To best of my knowledge no.
