The 65” does a poor job with reflection in a bright room. If your watching normal tv programming during the day, it’s not very noticeable. But if your trying to watch a movie, it’s a terrible experience. Unfortunately for me I’m taking my 65” X95J back and getting the Samsung QN90A and I don’t even like Samsung TVs as much as Sony. I would recommend the X90J or A80J for reflection challenges. I test both with a flashlight in store. I would get the Sony A80J if my kids wouldn’t burnout the TV like they did my LG C8. This is coming from a guy who purchased 1-2 new Sony TVs a year. Have to keep my Elite Plus status somehow lol.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It looks good. I don't think the coating on the larger screens is going to do much because the TV gets extremely bright. I came from plasma TV and had to swivel the TV to fight reflections from the windows. With this TV that problem is solved. Your only issue will be in very dark scenes with very bright reflections from the windows at the right angle. In such scenario no coating will work, so I wouldn't worry about it. Sony should have just added the coating to this size to avoid confusion, I think.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have this TV hung on a wall opposite 3 casement windows and we have a skylight and no issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Had a 55" x90J version, and yes the reflectivity is a tad better on this size, 65" x95J but the x95J does get very noticeably brighter, so will overcome bright rooms better
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi PhotonXPRT, thank you for your question. We're sorry to hear that our 65-inch X95J did not meet your expectations. Unfortunately, the X-Anti Reflection technology is only available on the 75 inches and 85 inches screen sizes. SONY TVs look the best in the darkest environment possible, so it's a good idea to turn off all lighting sources if you really want the best viewing experience. Light from windows and lamps may cause glare on the TV screen. ~Earl
