Some people say better hdmi cables dontnimprove the picture, others do. My experience is that they DO improve the picture. Almost all of our cables are some level of audioquest cables. For a PS5, you do need hdmi 2.1 cables. If using a sound bar with ARC technology, you definitely need an hdmi cable. The sound is dramatically betrer with an hdmi.

But if you want to utilize the features specified in HDMI 2.1 standards like the eARC or 4K120, you should use the HDMI port 2, 3, or 4. Aside from format compatibility, the picture should look the same on any input. You don’t need overpriced cables, but note the requirement for eARC and 120Hz video on 3 and 4
