For Dolby Vision to look decent you need an LED tv that gets very bright with several zones to control the back lighting and keep the picture from looking washed out. This tv accomplishes that better then any led I have seen due to its brightness and zone count. The 800 series Sony can not compete with the Z9D. It is not even a discussion.

And if you do have a problem with the 900 your left or the z9d you're likely to spend 45 hours or more on customer service and beat lie to multiple times saying that they cannot get the TV or it will cost you $1,000 more. Or if you do somehow get the TV it will likely be defective I received three and was told the wait outside of my return. For new ones to come back into stock and then told that they wouldn't after my return. Ended even though I should have been an elite customer and had a 30-day return. Months later I'm still at $1,000 out of pocket with no hope getting the other thousand back Best Buy Lost the tv after I returned it UPS shows it was delivered to them.
