This model TV uses a direct lit LED panel allowing for high brightness and outstanding detail. We do offer the X90J which has a Full Array backlight with local dimming which controls light by dimming or turning off the lights in areas of the screen where there is little or no light. We also offer the A80J and A90J OLED TV’s which control the light at a pixel level. This means the no one pixel will affect the light of the pixels next to it providing perfect blacks.
