“Why does my Youtube TV lock up on this "smart" tv? It comes through in surround sound, so that is good. I tried a Roku and Apple tv 4k. Youtube TV only comes through in stereo. Any answers?”

First of all....what? So it comes through in surround sound but not on the Roku and Apple TV 4K? I would check what the audio output is set to on both of those devices. It is likely that those devices are set to output stereo and not surround.
