Questionhow are colors with Sony TVs like the X950G compare to Samsung's QLED TVs

- Answer The colors are awesome and Sony likes to use natural colors which I am a fan of. The other manufacturer jacks up colors and are unnatural. Just look outside and look at the TVs to see which is realistic. No fake colors for me.

- Answer the 950G is not a direct replacement for the 900F. It is an incremental step in between. I'd definitely get the 950G over the 900F!

QuestionI see a negative comment posted on the 75" X950G when it comes to the quality of, what appears to be, the up-conversion from DirectTV 1080i (HD Lite) to 4K. Can I expect same problem on 65"??

- Answer You typically can't make something "better" with a lower original source but Sony does the best up-scaling of the current TV manufacturers. Each channel from your source could be different. I've tested content from OTA 480, 720 and 1080 and even channels differ from each of those resolutions. My Comcast box is set to 4K output (nothing is being broadcast in 4K BTW) and each channel is different, again based on source. DVDs look good from my Panasonic UHD BD player as well as BD discs, but that player is up-scaling.

- Answer Input Lag Ratings 1080p @ 60 Hz: 19.7 ms 4k @ 60 Hz: 21.2 ms Yes! This TV is better than both Samsung models you mentioned for input lag, only the LG B8 performs better. I have the 65" Sony X950G and experience virtually NO input lag when playing online shooters. In "game mode" I disable all engine features such as motionflow and reality creation etc, but if your just trying to enjoy a single player campaign you can leave all the perks enabled for best picture quality. I would highly recommend this TV for gaming. It's amazing.

QuestionAnyone else have issues with this TV when you turn the auto local dimming off? I get very bad uniformity, looks like some of the LEDs are brighter then others all over the screen during dark scenes.

- Answer All 950's have the worst local dimming ever. I went through 5!!!! All were so bad I returned. Sony being lazy so you'll want to buy their oled line which comes at the risk of burn in and summer picture but the picture is really good.

QuestionCurrently have Sony 65” XBR-9ZD (2017 model) which is the brightest TV I ever owned for watching 4K, HDR, & Dolby Vision. Would there be any reason I should think about upgrading to the x950G series to get better quality 4K, HDR, & Dolby Vision? Thanks

- Answer God that's a hard one. Z9d had the best backlighting system of any LED TV. That will definitely beat the 950g in terms of contrasting and blooming. 950g is going to have much more updated features lower input lag and I think a better all-around experience but you may be taking a step back in overall picture quality. Motion will be better. But contrasting will be just a bit lower than half and the z9d gets brighter. You would be better served maybe waiting maybe the Z9G if your budget allows.

- Answer It does allow for auto select of eARC and ARC of course corresponding audio gear must also be eARC for its function.

QuestionWhat about blooming? Is there any evidence of it in this model like was the case with some of Sony's previous TVs?

- Answer All led TVs will have some blooming. when I watch content on it (I have one) I don't really notice it all too often it's more on full black screens with maybe something random floating on them. It's definitely an improvement over the 900f though.

QuestionMy main use case is watching sporting events, something my LG and Samsung TV's have a difficult with due to blur and soap opera effect. How well does this TV perform with a pitcher throwing a fastball and a fast moving hockey puck?

QuestionThe specs for the X950 (2019 model) show one analog audio output, but also say no headphone jack. What is the analog output, is it RCA (stereo) jacks? I'm unable to tell by the pic of the back of the TV. (X900 2018 model shows analog headphone jack)

- Answer Yes the tv has a headphone output. The Best Buy website is incorrect. Both the Sony website and the manual state that there is a headphone output. I have included a picture of the back of mine.

QuestionJust purchased the 950G 65inch, is there an “Enhanced format” hdmi input you need to activate for better picture. I also own the 850D which you need to for better performance. How do I get “Enhanced format” for the 950G under HDMI inputs?

QuestionI would like to know the width of the legs on the 65". The spec sheet says the width is 56 1/8" (1425 mm) at the widest point. I would like to know what it is at the narrowit point?

- Answer The back part of the legs is 32 inches tip to tip and the front of the legs is 48 inches tip to tip. The 56 inches is the size of the screen horizontally border to border

QuestionCan the right stand leg be mounted on the left side and visa-versa so the legs point inward (toward the center) instead of outward? ...Or is the mounting width of the legs adjustable to allow for sitting on a cabinet that is less than 48" wide?

- Answer I was concerned about the blooming too, there are settings that you can apply and minimze it. Don't expect any help at all from SONY official support, the guys at Magnolia will help you out with the settings and other answers, as they helped me. The Cinema mode really takes down the blooming affect.
