• the 950G is not a direct replacement for the 900F. It is an incremental step in between. I'd definitely get the 950G over the 900F!

• From a strictly nontechnical perspective, what led me to choose the 950G over the 900F was a side-by-side viewing test that showed the 950G to have a clearer, more detailed picture with brighter colors. This, I was told, has to do with better contrast and black levels on the 950G, which facilitates clearer, more distinct images that "pop."

• The video tests almost the same according to RTINGS.com however the more robust processor on the x950G should handle motion a bit better, lag for gaming is better, and there's less delay with menu inputs, smart TV apps.

• The clarity is much clearer on the “G” than the “F”. I believe that the “F” is last year model and you can certainly tell the difference between them when side by side.
