“My denon x3600 is connected directly into my sony 75 950g TVs input. My sound usually starts off fine but suddenly goes off. When I turn off the AVR and sound switches to tv sound it works fine. Is my hdmi Sapphire hdcp 2.2 the problem?”

Why not get a cheap HDMI cord and see if the problem goes away. Have you used the menu setting for audio on the TV? You can set it to Go to Menu , Settings , Speakers and set to Audio system. The TV speakers should never come on after that, even with your Denon turned off.
