“I have an old floor stand where the TV hangs off of it. Will this model fit that stand? Can I take the hangers off of the old TV and use them to hang the new one? Is it too heavy to use that type of stand?”

I'm using that kind of stand as well. Mine has a cabinet at the bottom with the hanger up the back. The mounts for mine are universal and fit this tv so it worked out well. If the stand is heavy duty enough, I'd say go for it.
