That's exactly how we've got it set up. Cox cable in, Xbox one s in, tv out, using optical for the sound.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.In Short yes. What I liked about this unit is the multiple HDMI inputs that are also using the latest HDMI firmware so they sync up very quickly. I have a TiVo Box, BluRay Player, X-Box 1, and a CD player each hooked up to separate HDMI inputs, and they are all switched to HDMI output feeding the TV Screen. There is a second HDMI output, but I have not used that. Hope this helps.
