“I’m not interested in blasting music all that loud and don’t need a subwoofer. Will I need an external amp if I get new speakers as well, or does this unit have a built in amp that’s good enough?”

The internal amp was pretty sufficient for me (I do enjoy loud music sometimes on a drive) so I would figure you’ll enjoy it very much. I also upgraded my speakers afterwards and still have not NEEDED an external amp. it sure would help with bass as well as sound quality; but I definitely would stand by the fact you get great quality without one. There are multiple EQ settings you can choose from or custom create to make it sound best for you as well!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We replaced our old radio with this unit, kept the old speakers and they sounded better. If you're just replacing old speakers with newer ones and not doing a serious subwoofer upgrade you should be fine.
