There is no equivalent model. The KD-70X690E is the only 70" HDTV that Sony makes. However, there is a similar 60" model. The 240Hz current running throughout your home has nothing to do with the television's refresh rate. 60Hz is fine for TV shows and movies, if you are going to be gaming or watching lots of sports 120Hz would be better (and more expensive). Your best bet might be the Sony XBR-65X850E. It is a higher quality build and has a native 120Hz refresh rate, both sets are selling for about $1,500USD. Is that extra 5" really imperative???

Various TV manufactures employ technology to double or sometimes quadruple this frequency (what they call refresh rate). If you read the specs you will notice that Sony employs a motion technology refresh of 240Hz which is comparable to your LG.
