“This is a dumb question. Watching this tv from 6 feet away, is that to close? I think it might be overkill. It would be perfect for an IMAX like 3D experience! I could do 70 inch just fine. 75 inch would be ify.”

I wil tell you I worried about getting a 75" TV because I feared that when we scale down to a smaller house someday that it would just be too big. I was wrong. I throw a pillow on the floor and lay right off of the TV stand all the time to watch baseball, movies, etc and it is fantastic. You will definitely be immersed :-)

There is a gird/formula out on the web (from a couple different manufacturers) about the optimal distance to sit. I believe that the calculation says that you should sit back roughly 1.5 times the size of your screen. Otherwise you have to literraly turn your head and/or move your eyes to see everything on the screen (which then makes watching TV less enjoyable).
