Image retention or burn-in will not likely to happen with this TV as it uses LCD display panel. Additional information: The most common causes of image retention are icons or logos that remain stationary on the TV screen. To reduce this risk, avoid displaying still images for long durations and reduce the brightness settings to decrease the intensity of the picture. BRAVIA televisions are not subject to permanent image retention. These models may experience a temporary condition of image retention after continued still pattern viewing, however, the condition will correct itself after a period of viewing moving programs.
