Hi Troubled, The TV must be operated within the temperature range of 32 ºF – 104 ºF (0 ºC – 40 ºC). You may refer to page 19 of the link below for more information: https://docs.sony.com/release//REF_4690447121.pdf ~Ralph
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This TV has a safe operating range of 41-96 degrees Fahrenheit and a safe storage range of -4 to 140 degree Fahrenheit. Humidity parameters for storage purposes are 20%-90% RH. Couldn't find information on the effects of humidity on actual operation. (The information concerning ranges for safe operating and storage temps was available at the Sony website). When a non-weatherized TV is placed outdoors for an extended time period you are rolling the dice as to how long it will be before the TV fails. Even if the TV may be protected from direct exposure to wind driven snow, sleet, rain or dust moisture can still accumulate and cause corrosion or even a short circuit. A small bug may build a nest in a vacant port thus rendering that port unusable (actually happened). In a year's time you can count on seeing corrosion somewhere (even the chassis) on the TV. Best of luck if you choose to go ahead and place this unit outdoors.
