Those TVs don't really compete in terms of picture technology. TL;DR Samsung should be better. IMO you're most likely going to get a nicer picture when you're looking at the Samsung tv when compared to the Sony TV. However, dealing with Samsung's Operating system and its audio compatibility might drive you nuts. While Sony's audio compatibility is much better and the OS is Google/android which is way better developed. If you're going to slap on a 3rd party system e.g Roku, Apple TV, Nvidia shield, fire tv, etc, and bypass the TV's audio by going through a home theater system. I suggest getting the Samsung tv. Otherwise, go to Sony for more of all-in-one experience. Also again, the Samsung's TV's picture technology is in a different league than this Sony's TV. You would need to compare mini LED to mini LED. This Sony is just regular LED vs Samsung's Qn85 mini LED
