Hi there! LED stands for Light Emitting Diodes. LEDs are just tiny light bulbs that fit easily into an electrical circuit. On an LED TV the lights are at the back of the screen. LED TV will have better black levels and contrasts. The color accuracy will also be better on an LED TV. Regards, ~Erin
