“Does the Sony logo and that annoying sound pop up every time the TV is turned on? The last Sony I purchased had this feature and you can not stop it. I would like a TV that turns on normally without any distractions. Thanks”

My set powers on without the Sony logo or any sound other than the program that is being displayed. This tv is awesome by the way...only disappointment may be that you didn't buy the 100".
