Hi Randyj, we appreciate your interest in the X800H. The biggest difference between the two models is the backlight. The X800H has an edge lit backlight, while the X900H has a full array backlight for superior brightness uniformity, and superior HDR. Also the X900H has X-Motion Clarity for smooth motion for demanding content, especially sports and fast action movies.
