Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Drew, I can't answer for a Sonos speaker, but I did try a Vizio Sound Bar and Subwoofer plugged into an HDMI port and it did not work. I did not call tech support because I did not have time to troubleshoot and spend hours on the phone with tech support. The Vizio Sound Bar was definitely not plug and play. I returned the sound bar to the store. Don't know if this will help you.
