This can be in a dark room . Just move settings to where picture is perfect for your eyes. I have mine connected to a Yamaha receiver 7.2 ch and Klipsch towers , Sony center channel, pair of Sony Dolby atmos speakers, 2 Polk audio bookshelves, and 2 subwoofers from energy. Sounds great.

Yes, Bright with higher crisp colors! I am using Sonos surround system and I am 100% satisfied.

Yes this would be a great TV for a dark room. Also I recommend a Sony STRDH-540 radio receiver for the best quality sounded over a sound bar with some good speakers it will like your at the movies
