i think the G had the silver like the a9g has...they downgraded ithe H to the 500 series remote..all black...but same functionality. Back lit is for european market. I think the z8h 8k sets will have the back lit silver remotes here in the USA. and they should be compatible with the 950 sets. the G does work the H model , if you simply want a better looking remote...hope the helps..
