• Hi Dino, thank you so much for your inquiry! You can use the TV even without using the voice recognition functionality. For the DIRECTV remote, this should work properly when controlling your DIRECTV cable set-top box. The DIRECTV remote control may not work when navigating the TV. • Not sure aboutDirect Tv. It works fine with Xfinity remote so I would assume it would work with newer Direct TVremotr
