Ive owned the TV for almost 30 days and am very pleased so far. I dont upgrade often and didnt jump on the 4k bandwagon early. The X900h is replacing a 58" Panasonic 1080P Plasma that I bought new in 2009 which still works like new. Hard to believe they were relatively the same price at time of purchase. I wanted this model since it had full array dimming, HDMI 2.1, and was native 120hz, and could game at 120FPS. Originally I was torn Sony's newer models with XR or OLED or last years model for a better price. Im not a TV expert and some of the variances I researched seemed negligible to the average user so in the end the X900H won out. Ive read a lot of negative reviews about the Andriod TV OS and interface. Slow, buggy, etc. Ive not had that experience. The Android OS is fast and responsive, plus its very simple to navigate and use. Theres tons of apps since its Google Play and loads of free content. I am not using WiFi and have the TV hardwired to my fiber optic connection. Before using the set after skipping most of the setup menus which you can go back and do I installed the latest firmware update which only took minutes. Not sure if the latest update added this or not since i hadnt seen any videos or reviews talk about it but you have several different HDMI input type selections ex. Regular, Enhanced for HQ 4k content and gaming at 4k@120FPS, and Dobly Vision Enhanced. I was unaware of the last setting but is a nice benefit. Many complain about the remote but its functional and voice controlled as well. For example press the button and speak the input you want HDMI 4 and it will switch inputs. Many of the functions can be controlled by voice. The picrure is excellent and the brightness, contrast, and black levels are sufficent for all the things ive watched and displayed. The colors are bright and the picture is clear and crisp. I didnt have the TV calibrated, i watched some videos on the internet for settings and started there. The picture is great right out of the box for most. All in all i would recommend this TV for picture, build quality, gaming, movies, display, and general viewing. The front frame has a nice quality premium look with aluminum finish. Glare is not bad and i have set in a room with lots of windows and light picture is super bright still. Wide viewing angles with minimal picture deterioration at extreme angles. My HTPC display is set at 3840x2160 with scale size at 250%. Fonts are clear, clean, with no blurring. Streaming multiple region content with no display issues. If you are going to stream Netflix to the TV from PC save yourself some time and buy the .99 HEVC video extension so you can from Windows 10. This is running through an AV Receiver Onkyo TX RZ810 and everything i display from HTPC movies, media, computer display are all in HDR and the TV performs nicely. The AV Receiver upscales all content to TV in either HDR or Dolby Vision. Setup of my equipnent was easy and painless the TV reconized all of it. I use a digital tos link for sound of TV apps through AV and HT. Didnt use Earc even though AV equipped. Plus the HDCP chain from HTPC through AV to TV is continuous so i can stream any HDR etc content with no issues. The money saved by buying last years model which is feature rich will pay for the upgrade from Xbox One to Xbox Series X. This is a great TV for the price and includes many features to help future proof it for a while. Pair this TV with HTPC and next gen gaming and be amazed!

As an owner of an LG B8 OLED, I have to say I am very impressed with this set especially at this HUGE 85" inch size. My TV stand couldn't handle the length of the legs which you should highly consider when buying this size, but I was about to buy a TV stand to mount it easily. The blacks are deep (not oled deep), Dolby Vision and Standard HDR 4K content are super detailed and vibrant, upscaling 1080p content to 4k is suberp, and best of all the motion is fantastic. Android TV is super snappy and simple to use. Could not be any happier with this set. Just buy it honestly.

My 10 years old TV is a Sony Bravia 46" so 2020 was the perfect time for an upgrade. A phenomenal upgrade, this huge 85 inches TV is insane! Despite some firmware needed (Android TV) that fixed some minor sounds issues and along with a decent soundbar (brand new Nakamichi 9.4) I have a real home theater with deeper blacks, bright colors, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos....perfect mix. This TV is great and it is a SONY. My old Sony TV 46" still working like a charm so I am expecting this amazing 4K UHD do the same.

Purchased this TV to replace a 7 year old Sony 75 in XBR850C. Researched reviews on YouTube comparing the LG CX9 and Samsung Q80T to this tv. I went to BB to compare and decided to go with an open-box discount that had just been returned without it being opened. I got a good discount. We mounted the TV and went through the settings to get a great picture for movies, sports and other cont. Blacks are good and motion is good to. Once it was dialed in we were good to go. Dolby vision on Netflix looks great and so does other HDR 4k content. We are not gamers so cant comment on VRR.

We love this tv. We enjoy watching sports and movie night with the family. Beautiful picture and colors.

I contemplated getting the 75 or 86 inch tv. I am so happy I went with the 86”. My Best Buy sales consultant highly recommended the Sony over a Samsung or LG. The house is full of Samsung’s but due to this being a media room the vibrant colors of Sony are amazing. I do need to add it was definitely one of the most expensive options

I needed to upgrade my 70” 1080p TV in my man cave, and I went back and forth for months on which brand to get— LG, Sony, Samsung, Etc. debated getting the Sony 77” A9 OLED, but I confess I wanted to get the biggest TV I could find. Gaming was also really important to me. When I saw this unit on sale, I pulled the trigger— hoping I had made the right choice. Wow! This thing is amazing. I wanted a TV that could get really bright with very black blacks, and I sure got it. It’s big and makes a big impact. I pair it with my Marantz receiver, and it has made gaming and movies unbelievable. So incredibly happy! Highly recommend this TV!

If u want a tv that has dark blacks and good local dimming and hdmi 2.1 for next gen gaming then this is the one!! the only cons is with out the local dim on u would have a whole lot of light bleeding on the sides of display screen but that ok all tv got some kind of cons right? Also was interested in x950h but didnt have hdmi 2.1 but great for movies if your not a gamer x950h has less bezels which is great for theater llke feel. well that my review hope this helps!!!

First, I’d be remiss not to mention that Best Buy went out of their way to make this entire experience as convenient as possible. We had previously purchased this monster tv from one of the many Best Buy competitors on the east coast. The shipping took 15 days and surprise, …the television came broken. I called the company we purchased from and they said it would be 3-6 weeks to get the tv shipped back to them and get a refund (if everything checked out). I sent multiple emails trying to get this situation handled, but it wasn’t until I called our legal representation that the company started cooperating (best 28.00 dollars a month I’ve ever spent). So as I sat there fuming about the entire experience and seeing the surprising look of disappointment on my wife’s face, I contemplated. I had done the research, I knew this tv was the one I wanted. It offered the best value, best picture, and best features of any tv in its range, but as stock dwindled, I began to doubt whether we would be able to get one, and if so, get it delivered in one piece. On a whim, I called Best Buy, to see if they had the same tv. Much to my surprise, not only did they have the tv, they also price matched the deal we got from the other company no questions asked. Then the salesman actually expedited shipping for free, and provided mounting on my wall, but refunded the fee before we even hung up the phone. I was blown away that Best Buy took such ownership of a horrible experience they DIDNT have anything to do with! The tv came two days later, in perfect condition and was on my wall within the hr. Amazing experience. Aaron and Tyler were fantastic! Now let’s talk about the tv. Wow doesn’t do it justice. There are two settings I use most commonly, custom, for those true to life looking movie nights, and vivid, for when I’m feeling like nothing else will do but a deep pallet of sharp and crisp color saturation (just like all Samsung sets). There are many more viewing modes of course, and a ton of ‘how to’ and ‘recommended settings’ videos on line. I will say getting the image just right can be tricky, which is why 4 stars and not 5. But once you get that picture, oh boy! It’s an amazing and delightfully overwhelming experience. I keep many of the motion smoothing, Hi color, and upscaling features off, but experiment with what you like. It’s kinda fun especially when you get it just right. Long and short of it, this tv is amazing and well worth every penny. And Best Buy’s customer service blew me away!

WOW! Huge upgrade from a curved 65in samsung. looks amazing with dolby vision, takes up my whole wall, and was not hard to mount. it has a theatre feel to it which keeps me occupied during these horrible times. playing COD @4k 120hz is ridiculous! deep black- not OLED level but pretty good. it was this tv at $1800 vs a 65 inch oled cx for 1700... im glad i got the bigger tv, its a very huge difference.

TV out of the box with a few screen resolution settings is unbelievable. EZPZ setup even someone with little knowledge could set this up. I luv the size of this TV. Once again Best Buy comes thru with flying colors with free delivery. My original 70" Sharp Aquos Quatrron 1k which is running perfectly will be my basement TV. Which I also bought from Best Buy. Also all my kitchen major appliances including W/D were bought from Best Buy and many many other items. For such an inexpensive TV this thing looks awesome. NOW for the 1star I refuse to give has to do with the cleaning of the screen. I have been using Audioquest cleanscreen since 2012 purchase of my Sharp. Also all my screens in fact. I tried to use that with a flat microfiber It left streaks everywhere. The screen must be some kind plexi type of cover to protect the real screen. I spent 1.5 hours the next day wiping all the smears at streaks with a dry microfiber which worked. This TV will be high maintenance trying to keep it clean, that's the minor quip I have with it. Other then that I luv it. Don't hesitate buy with knowledge it's a Sony.

Exactly what I expected from Sony, best picture quality!!!!!!! 85” is hugeeee, we replaced our 10 years old TV triniton Sony of course, it was some issues with internet connectivity, this new TV is really fast and easy to use, kids and wife love it!!!

Awesome TV! Black levels are very good. Looks great in our 2 story great room. Shows very nice at night. Has all the features that we were looking for. The Xumo App is a great addition with all of the free channels. G Purchased it at $700 off.

I was torn between this one and the 950H which was more money. I choose to save the money and I am extremely happy with my choice. It’s a great TV! great color and black levels. I also paired it with the Sonos Arc which provides a great cinematic experience. Wife also loves it for her workout videos.

Great picture. Awesome service. Perfect size. Geek squad tutorial was through. I highly recommend this TV. Save your money. Once at home you can’t compare tv’s side to side. Picture looks incredible

My family loves this 85” tv. It was the first major purchase when we moved in our new home. If you plan on mounting you should have 2-3 people because it’s very large and heavy. The picture quality has never failed us during Light scenes, dark scenes, action, gaming, etc. save your money on going to the movies and get this instead, it’s even better. The built in smart tv features are better than recent LG tvs. We decided against a fire stick or Apple TV because it is more than adequate. Enjoy!

It's like being in a movie theatre, without ever leaving the house. The picture is crisp, clear, and not as overpoweringly bright as the Samsung it replaced. The PlayStation4 plays flawlessly on it. With the Smart Android TV platform, we no longer need a Roku box attached to access all of our preferred streaming platforms (Sling, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Netflix, YouTubeTV).
