Does the grip for the A7RIV works on the A7RV? null

Yes, but like the A7IV, they put the move button on the A7RV where C1 is, so if you intend to use the movie button as it's intended function, you will need to program C1 as the movie button if you want the grip to operate the same way in portrait mode. I chose to program the movie button to be C1 and also I had to program C1 on the back the same way - so a redundancy that I have to live with.
