Q: QuestionAperture priority not workingMy wife is trying to figure out the aperture priority, zooming in the the shot and bluring the background. How does she do this? She choses the mode, then focuses the area she wants but it doesn't blur the background.

• A:Answer In order for the background to be blurred you have to shoot with the lens "wide open" which lessens the effective depth of field. I am not sure what you mean by your comment on zooming in, but if you select the aperture as wide open and set the focus on the object you want to be sharp the camera will give you a shallow depth of field shot.

Q: QuestionWill this camera connect with the iPhone 6 and iPad air 2?I read in one of the reviews that it wouldn't work with the iPhone 6. Is this correct? One of the features I'm most interested in is the wifi.

• A:Answer It worked for me and I have both an iPhone 6 and an iPad 2. No problems connecting with the play mobile app. You cannot connect via NFC to share photos like an android phone.

• A:Answer That is a question only company marketing folks, either the manufacturer or BEST BUY the retailer knows the answer to. But I am guessing that since the 6000 represents a next step, the 5000 will be at reduced price until inventory goes to near zero.

• A:Answer Hi, to achieve background defocus, set the aperture to the highest f stop. Just note that not all lenses have the same level of depth of field. The higher the f stop( i.e. 1.4) the more shallow DOP thus achieving more blur. Thanks_Mitch
