• Hi McKenzie, the Sony a5100 does not have silent shutter and will always have sound when the shutter is activated. These models however do have silent shutter options : ILCE-6100 / 6300 / 6400 / 6500 / 6600 / 7M3 / 7RM2 / 7RM3 / 7RM4 / 7S, 7SM2 and ILCE-9 / 9M2.
