• The lenses do come off. The Sony a5100 can use any Sony E-Mount lens or really any lens if you buy a mount converter. It's great!

• Hi, yes, the camera can use different lenses. They are fully compatible with E-mount lenses (SEL---) and can also be used with A-mount lenses when you use an adapter. Thanks_Mitch
