Yes, I have taken action and still photos with our 2 dogs. Both indoor and outdoors. Action photos at the beach or indoor were awesome. Remember to use multi-burst mode. What is important is not only a camera, but the lens and photographer positioning. Depth of field is extremely important.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I take a lot of pics of my dog with this camera. And i am pleased with the pictures but you need to move the features around to get some still photos. I used this as a beginner camera.
