Can the battery easily be replaced out in the field? We often go out for long days in the field and need to replace battery to continue to shoot. Is the battery built into the camera or can it be taken out and replaced with another to continue to shoot?

It's easy to swap out. There's a slide on the bottom which opens the place where the combination battery and SD card reside. Then there's a catch that holds it into place. Click, click, drop, push, click, close, click.

I have 3 batteries. They can easily be swapped in and out.

The battery is easy to replace. But the standard kit does not come with a charger - you have to plug in the camera to recharge. I bought an aftermarket charger and extra battery.

Yes you can replace the battery. I carry four batteries with me so my a6000 never runs out of power. It doesn't come with an external charger so it's best to get one of those.

No. Unfortunately, you will have to send the camera back to factory to replace the battery. That's kind of a hassle but not a showstopper.
