I can tell you that it is a wicked fast camera that takes up to 11 shots per second, and the stabilization is phenomenal. You should have no problems using this at a sporting event. Good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have used it in this type of setting and with the amazing shutter speed this camera has, it takes excellent pictures when objects are traveling at high speeds.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Several pros do and have there are many how-tos. Put "sony a6000 action shots" in Google for long list. The 11 frames per second, fast auto focus, and subject following focus all help. I have seen one review that uses a faster zoom lens (Sony FE 70-200mm F4 G OSS Interchangeable Lens for Sony Alpha Cameras).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've used this camera at a couple of softball games, I've have no problem with it so far and had it about a month. Pictures are very clear
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's a great camera for this purpose. It has an incredibly fast autofocus and shoots more than 10 frames per second. It's definitely fast enough for sporting events. If you are serious about it, you may want to look at upgrading the lenses to some better ones that will allow a little extra light in but for most users the kit lenses work fine. Also, make sure you have a fast memory card. I used a 7 year old SD card for a few days and after a burst of about 15 images at full resolution the camera would lose functionality while it was trying to save everything to the memory card. I have since upgraded to a class 10 SD card and haven't had a problem since.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Haven't used it for sports, but I've shot from a moving car and it captured images clearly. The burst mode is pretty fast, so that would be good, too.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi! It's great for action/sports photography with the proper lens, settings and a6000's low light capability. -Anthony
