A:Answer One battery comes with this camera but I would recommend getting one or two spares, depending on how much you plan to use it in a day. When you want to charge the battery you have to plug the camera in with the supplied USB cable & charge it in the camera. You can't use the camera while it is recharging. The plug that goes into the camera is the same type used with an Android phone, but it doesn't have a USB transformer. So if you don't have one of these you will need to get one. I would recommend getting one that has a 2A output. If you get extra batteries most come with an external charger but if not get one. To extend battery life you may want to put the camera into airplane mode. This will turn off the WIFI. When you want to transfer images to your phone or other device, turn it back on & then off after you're done. One accessory I would recommend getting if you have the kit 16-50mm lens is a 40.5mm UV filter. This protects the lens from being scratched and it's cheaper to replace the filter than the lens. If you also have the kit 55-210mm lens the filter size is 49mm.
