It seems to be back at 999.99 for the body alone, so my guess is there was a glitch of some type.

If you follow camera blogs, you would see that the sensor factory sustained some damage a month or two ago. Maybe B&H and others purchased a large amount of the cameras at a lower cost before the earthquake or currency fluctuations.

Please try again later.It probably has to do with the fact that Sony and other name brands have a set price at which they must sell at that is dictated by the mfr. the cheaper price may have been an intro price cut run set by Sony to help introduce the a6300 into the market. And was meant for a short period of time to build interest.
